Fun Day at the Lake!

We had a great time with our friends, Keith and Lanette and their kids Ryan and Emma, at Tims Ford Lake on Saturday! This was Emery's first trip to the lake and she did so well and really enjoyed riding on the boat and playing in the water. Elan and Ryan had so much fun, as usual-jumping off the boat, swimming and tubing. The boys even went tubing by themselves... a little nerve racking, but they had a blast! Ryan is six weeks older than Elan and they have been big buddies since they were born. They are moving to Arkansas in a couple of weeks and we will miss them SO much!

We love the Beach!!

We had a wonderful time at the beach last week!! The weather was beautiful, with the exception of a little 30 minute "isolated thunderstorm"- as Elan informed us. He kept saying, "This is just an isolated one guys, don't worry"- Elan is just like my dad, always on top of the weather!! This was Emery and Caleb's first trip to the beach and it took them both a little while to warm up to the sand and ocean, but they both ended up loving it. We spent our first day at Big Kahuna's and had a blast!! My sister has pictures from our fun day there, so I'll have to post those later. Elan got to go down some of the "big slides" and loved it! We spent the rest of our trip at the beach and pool and despite having a 1, 2 and 4 year old it was so nice and relaxing... at least for the most part! They all had their moments... but I really only remember the sand in my toes and the sound of the ocean! :)

Uncle Seth and Aunt Dea drove over from Jacksonville to come spend Saturday with us. Thanks for coming guys, it was so great to spend time with you!

We also got to have our favorite Shake's ice cream!! The one down from our house has closed and we are so sad about it!!
